Children enjoy sports and being active but sometimes the weather does not cooperate. Whether it is heat or the cold keeping your kids inside, consider these sports centers and indoor sports facilities for kids - mainly in Metrowest Massachusetts.

A unique physical activity is to try a class at Guard Up. It's an indoor fencing facility in Burlington with physical interaction and constant scenarios that require teamwork and communication. They have birthday parties, classes, special events and more. You can even attend one class or event for free!

Frozen Ropes in Natick has indoor baseball and softball classes for kids ages 3 and up. Programs include classes for 3-5 year olds, an afterschool academy, conditioning classes and personal training, hitting leagues and more. Frozen Ropes also has school vacation camps and birthday party packages.

Check out the Boston Rock Gym in Woburn. They have two-hour Kids Climb Classes where experienced instructors will belay children and encourage them to advance their skills. Also check out their birthday party options for kids 5 and up. The same goes for Exxcel in Newton.
